Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for our clients. This role involves providing expert advice on federal, state, and local tax regulations while ensuring adherence to GAAP and tax compliance standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients, guiding them through complex tax situations and helping them optimize their tax strategies in various sectors, including real estate and non-profit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client tax return preparation, including 1040, 1120S, 1120, C-Corp, S-Corp, and partnership returns.
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research on various tax issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
- Review and manage the filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities and enhance their tax positions.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting clients and provide proactive advice.
- Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies for clients in various industries, including real estate and non-profit organizations.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members in tax preparation and consulting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience with tax software such as QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Proficient in GAAP standards and tax compliance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
