The Tax Manager - Trust and Estates will oversee the tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of trust and estate clients. This role is critical in providing strategic tax guidance and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations while optimizing tax outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns for trusts and estates.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies for high-net-worth clients and their families.
- Advise clients on estate planning and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy in tax calculations and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional client service and support.
- Stay updated on IRS regulations and changes in tax law to provide informed advice to clients.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as attorneys and financial advisors to provide integrated wealth management solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, specifically in trust and estate taxation.
- Strong understanding of estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to building client relationships.
