Position Overview

The Superintendent will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of educational and commercial construction projects. This role demands a strong leader with experience in K-12 and higher education environments who can ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with all regulations. The Superintendent will work closely with stakeholders to foster community engagement and facilitate curriculum development while managing the facilities and staff development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction of K-12 and higher education facilities from inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes throughout all phases of the project.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to meet educational goals.
• Engage with community stakeholders to gather input and foster support for projects.
• Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with curriculum development teams to ensure that new facilities meet educational requirements.
• Implement facilities management best practices to maintain operational efficiency post-construction.
• Develop strategic plans that align construction projects with the educational mission of the institution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Education Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction oversight within K-12 and higher education sectors.
• Strong knowledge of budget management and financial oversight in construction projects.
• Proven experience in staff development and team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and strategic planning.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in construction.
