Join a high-performing team driving complex transmission and distribution projects. As a Senior Estimator, you'll lead the development of accurate, risk-conscious self-perform estimates for high-voltage substation work, shaping the success of major infrastructure bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed, bottom-up estimates for transmission and distribution projects, with a focus on high-voltage substation scope.
- Analyze RFPs, engineering documents, and constructability to ensure precision and feasibility.
- Develop estimate schedules, risk registers, and high-level project timelines.
- Lead internal reviews of scope, quantities, and commercial terms to identify and mitigate risk.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor quote integration, bid reviews, and solicitation processes.
- Estimate indirect costs, general conditions, and validate contingency recommendations.
- Present final estimates to leadership and support pre-construction services.
- Maintain cost history databases and mentor junior estimators.
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of project estimating experience; 4 years in self-perform substation work preferred.
- Deep knowledge of transmission & distribution construction estimating.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ConEst, and K-base; OSHA 10-hour certified.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
