Structural Engineer

This fast-growing steel fabricator startup with $5M in annual revenue is hiring its first ever structural engineer.  

As the founding member of the engineering team, you'll initially be responsible for helping with designing and analyzing structural steel packages.

• $85,000-$130,000 (depends on experience)
• PTO

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural steel systems for traffic, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct load calculations and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Prepare and review construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, and Bluebeam for design and project management.
• Perform finite element analysis to assess structural integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and incorporate sustainable practices in designs.
• Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years structural engineering experience 
• Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, Etakeoff, or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• EIT or Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred 
• DOT and/or bridge experience a plus
