Job Title: Senior Sales & Use Tax Consultant

Job Location (hybrid): Dallas, TX or Houston, TX

Job Salary: $85-105K base 10% bonus 10% profit sharing!

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Sales & Use Tax Consultant to join our team in Houston/Dallas. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on sales and use tax compliance, assist clients in navigating complex tax regulations, and support audit processes. The role involves working closely with clients to develop tax planning strategies and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough sales and use tax compliance reviews for various clients.
• Provide audit support by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with tax authorities.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing effective tax planning strategies.
• Research and analyze sales and use tax regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Consult with clients on tax-related inquiries and provide expert advice on tax matters.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to sales and use tax compliance and audits.
  
  

Qualifications

• BS Accounting
• 4 years of experience in SALT, sales and use tax consulting or related roles within public accounting, finance
• CPA preferred
• Oil and Gas experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven skills in tax planning, research, and client consultation.
• Experience using CCH/AnswerConnect/Alteryx or other tax research tools
