Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of custom automated machinery, ensuring that all designs meet both functionality and manufacturability requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom automated machinery based on project requirements.
• Create and review 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
• Implement GD&T principles in design documentation to ensure quality and precision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated equipment during the development and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and can be produced efficiently.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on automated machinery.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiar with 2D drawing standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in design.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
