Position Overview
The Commissioning Field Agent is responsible for verifying and ensuring that all systems and components of a building are installed, functionally tested, and meet specified performance criteria. This role involves working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to guarantee optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems, as well as building automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of building systems and automation controls.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement commissioning plans and strategies.
- Document findings, performance tests, and any discrepancies throughout the commissioning process.
- Provide on-site training and support to contractors and facility staff regarding system operations and maintenance protocols.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance processes during installations and testing.
- Proven experience in commissioning, installation, and testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Preferred certifications include PE, CCP, CXA, or CEM, which demonstrate advanced expertise in commissioning, energy management, and professional engineering standards.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and building automation technologies.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and HVAC engineering principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose system issues effectively.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail in reporting and compliance.
- Experience with field services and technical installation is a plus.

Salary : $145,000 - $160,000
