The Sr Associate/Counsel - Business Litigation will play a crucial role in representing clients in complex business disputes. This position involves handling various litigation matters, including breach of contract and shareholder disputes, while providing strategic legal counsel to clients and ensuring the best outcomes for their cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee complex business litigation cases from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Advise clients on potential legal issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to gather evidence and build strong cases.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting business litigation.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the New Jersey Bar; bonus points for NY admission
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business litigation or complex litigation.
- Proven track record in managing litigation cases, including trials and settlements.
- Strong knowledge of breach of contract and shareholder dispute law, and related areas.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Salary: $215,000 - $250,000 annually (DOE)
