The Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of the water treatment facility. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control water treatment processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Supervise and train junior operators in the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and operational issues.
- Prepare and maintain operational records, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of water treatment operations.
- Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot operational problems in a timely manner.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water treatment operations
- Experience automatting a water treatment facility
- Valid Colorado Water Works Operator Certification or ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
