The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning functions of the organization. This role will lead a team of tax professionals and work closely with various departments to ensure adherence to tax regulations and optimize tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability.
- Manage audits and interactions with tax authorities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior tax staff and assist in their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
