Senior Tax Manager (Fully Remote)

Position Overview

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning functions of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and laws, as well as the ability to manage and guide a team of tax professionals. The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and to identify opportunities for tax efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, also including S-Corp (1120s), C-Corp (1120), Partnership (1065) and Individual (104) returns.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper tax accounting and reporting in financial statements.
• Stay current on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to management and other departments, particularly in real estate transactions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience with a focus on real estate and professional services taxation.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
