You'll take ownership of plumbing system designs across a range of sectors-commercial, healthcare, education, and high-rise residential-working directly with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure well-integrated, code-compliant systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste, and vent systems.
- Produce detailed construction documents, schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ensure system designs meet applicable plumbing codes (IPC, UPC, NFPA) and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and contractors.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and CAD staff.
- Support QA/QC reviews and coordination meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience designing plumbing systems for MEP projects (commercial and industrial preferred).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software.
- Deep knowledge of relevant codes and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across disciplines.
- Salary range: $85,000-$115,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
