The Senior Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for leading the estimating process for mechanical systems in construction projects. This role requires expertise in cost analysis, blueprint reading, and project management to ensure accurate and competitive bids are prepared for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and other related systems.
- Review project specifications and plans to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimate preparation.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and timelines.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor industry trends and costs to continuously improve estimating processes and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical construction processes.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding specifications.
- Experience with bid preparation and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and project management skills.

Salary : $130,000 - $175,000
