The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil properties, and providing expert guidance on foundation design and soil stability. This role requires a strong background in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations and assessments
- Analyze soil and rock samples to determine engineering properties
- Prepare geotechnical reports and design recommendations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure geotechnical considerations are addressed in design
- Provide expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems
- Review and interpret geotechnical data and reports from junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
- Mentor and train junior geotechnical engineers and technicians
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Strong knowledge of site investigation techniques and soil analysis
- Experience with geotechnical software and modeling tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
