Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development and construction, with specific experience in commercial, retail, and light industrial projects. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for projects during the preconstruction phase, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that proposals are competitive.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine the necessary resources and costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather relevant information for estimating.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and scope information.
• Ensure all estimates are completed in a timely manner and within budget constraints.
• Assist in the development of bid strategies and value engineering options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
