About The Role

Our Duluth Team is currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager that will develop a diverse portfolio of electrical engineering projects with a focus on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. The successful candidate will utilize their experience and expertise in the field of electrical engineering to provide solutions to a diverse clientele that includes multinational industry leaders. Your day to day will include:

• Performing calculations related to the sizing and installation of electrical equipment including: MCC's, lighting, circuit breakers, motors, transformers, wiring systems, switchgear, and grounding systems
• Utilizing the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and requirements of insurers in the development of electrical designs at industrial and commercial facilities
• Developing detailed equipment specifications for electrical distribution equipment, MCC's, Drives, low voltage field devices, instrumentation, lighting, circuit protection, and power monitoring equipment
• Designing power distribution and grounding systems up to 15kV
• Developing motor and process control documents including loop and motor elementary drawings
• Preparing proposals, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering projects
• Analyzing data, preparing reports, and delivering presentations on proposed and ongoing projects to internal staff and clients
• Mentoring and overseeing junior engineers and technicians
• Taking an active leadership role with design development and delivery of final documents for electrical projects
• Providing oversight, sign, and seal design documents and reports developed by electrical staff members
• Performing QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process
• Working directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues
• Collaborating with multi discipline groups within our team to develop and deliver integrated projects
  
  

About You

• BS in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Engineering License (PE)
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
• Knowledge and application of the principles and practices of CAD development and creation of drawing packages at various stages of design development
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with our staff, individuals from other organizations, and client representatives.
• Experience supervising or providing direct oversight to engineers and design professionals.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project lifecycle and ability to manage complex engineering and multidiscipline projects.
  
  

Additional Skills & Capabilities

• Experience performing power coordination and arc flash studies and develop single line drawings using SKM.
• Experience with power distribution design up to 230kV
• Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI programming
• Experience developing design packages, P&IDs, and alternatives from concept to issued for construction using AutoCAD Electrical or Revit software packages
