Senior Electrical Estimator

Due to exponential growth, we are hiring in the following office locations: Evansville, Indiana; Buffalo, New York; Louisville, Kentucky; Paducah, Kentucky; or Janesville, Wisconsin.

Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Estimator will be responsible for managing and preparing cost estimates for electrical projects within the construction industry, focusing on data center facilities. This role requires a high level of expertise in electrical estimating and will involve collaboration with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely estimates that align with project budgets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed estimates for electrical systems in data centers and other construction projects.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Utilize Accubid and other estimating software to prepare and manage cost estimates.
• Review and validate subcontractor quotes and proposals to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs and assist in value engineering processes during the project lifecycle.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on data centers.
• Proficiency in electrical estimating software, particularly Accubid.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control principles.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
