Strategically located throughout Pennsylvania, with 4 different office locations. We focus most on General Contracting & Construction Manager at Risk projects for Education, Higher Ed, Commercial, Municipal, Light Industrial & others.
Because of our growth, we are looking for a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager for the Harrisburg location.
As Construction Estimator, you'll be responsible for analyzing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, construction knowledge, and attention to detail to assess project requirements and determine the associated costs.
Responsibilities
Project Analysis - Review architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope and requirements of construction projects.
Conduct site visits, if necessary, to gather additional information and assess project conditions.
Cost Estimation - Utilize estimating software, historical data, and industry
knowledge to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Analyze project requirements and develop detailed quantity take-offs for various construction elements.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to incorporate into the overall project cost estimation.
Proposal Preparation - Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline the scope of work, cost breakdown, and any relevant assumptions or exclusions.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure proposals meet client requirements and expectations.
Cost Management - Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality or functionality.
Track and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating any changes or modifications as necessary.
Identify and communicate potential cost risks or opportunities to project teams and management.
Bid Coordination - Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and subcontractor negotiations to clarify project requirements and gather information.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates, bid documents, and correspondence related to each project.
Generate reports summarizing bid results, cost variances, and other relevant metrics for management review.
Continuous Improvement -Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Provide feedback on estimating processes and tools to improve departmental performance and effectiveness.
Learn, master and utilize company technologies including, Building Connected, Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, ProEst.
Qualifications
Recent experience out of a General Contractor or CMaR - with a focus on ground up construction.
Ability to communicate with and coordinate all team members to properly estimate the project(s).
Proficiency in construction estimating software (Building Connected, ProEst) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices
Must be willing to travel to work throughout Pennsylvania - as needed.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
