We're partnering with an audience intelligence company building advanced data and analytics solutions for the modern media and marketing landscape. Their platform leverages AI and machine learning to organize and analyze billions of consumer data points across major social and video platforms every day. This powerful dataset fuels predictive models, advanced analytics, and content strategy efforts used by top media organizations.

This is a rare opportunity to join early, own major parts of a complex data/engineering platform, and help shape the next generation of audience intelligence technology.

What You'll Do

• Own substantial portions of the technical platform (web application, API server, or large-scale data pipeline), including planning, development, deployment, and operational support
• Design, build, and test distributed applications and microservices
• Communicate estimates, architecture decisions, and implementation plans clearly, collaborating across the engineering team
• Build and maintain solutions aligned with enterprise engineering standards and best practices
• Utilize modern GenAI capabilities - semantic search, workflow orchestration, LLM gateways, retrieval workflows, and real-time prompt/tooling systems
  
  

What You Need

• 5 years of backend or data engineering experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and modern software engineering principles
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and creating benchmarks for load, throughput, and reliability
• Experience developing API/interface contracts across services, applications, and third-party vendors
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools such as Databricks, PySpark, Spark, or Hadoop
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems and large-scale data processing
• Strong experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps pipelines; experience with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
