Sales Manager, OEM Lighting Channel - South East

Position Overview
We're seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to own and grow the OEM lighting channel across the South East region. This role focuses on business development with OEM customers, driving revenue through new client acquisition and account growth, and partnering with engineering and manufacturing to deliver lighting solutions (LED, drivers, emergency modules, ballasts and power products) that meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate combines deep lighting and OEM experience with strong sales skills, CRM discipline, and the ability to exceed KPIs while managing distributor and manufacturer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional sales plan to grow OEM revenue and market share in the South East.
  • Prospect, qualify and convert new OEM clients through cold calls, targeted outreach and industry networking.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles: proposal development, technical-commercial presentations, negotiation of contracts and closing deals.
  • Build and deepen relationships with OEMs, distributors and manufacturers to identify joint opportunities and channel partnerships.
  • Serve as the commercial lead with internal teams (product, engineering, operations) to align product solutions (LED, drivers, emergency modules, ballasts, power) with customer needs.
  • Maintain and update CRM (Salesforce) with accurate pipeline, activity logs, forecasts and customer data; use CRM to drive metrics and KPI performance.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, margin goals and key performance indicators through disciplined account planning and metric-driven execution.
  • Support account management activities to grow existing clients: upsell, renewals, and cross-sell across product lines.
  • Coordinate and execute sales activities including presentations, meetings, trade shows, and product demonstrations for customers and distributors.
  • Manage distributor relationships and channel enablement initiatives including training, joint business planning and status reporting.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform pricing, product development and go-to-market adjustments.
  • Travel within the South East region to meet customers, attend site visits, and support distributor and manufacturer engagements.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of B2B sales experience with proven success in lighting or related electrical products, ideally with OEM channel experience.
  • Demonstrable business development track record: new client acquisition, regional growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical understanding of lighting products (LED, emergency lighting, drivers, modules, ballast, power systems) or the ability to quickly develop product knowledge.
  • Proven skills in relationship management, negotiation, contract closing and account management.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage pipeline, forecast sales and track KPIs.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, customer meetings, presentations and regular travel within the territory.
  • Analytical approach to sales using metrics to prioritize opportunities and measure success.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Degree in business, engineering, marketing or related field preferred; equivalent combination of experience and education accepted.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with distributors, manufacturer partnerships, emergency lighting standards, ballast knowledge, sales metrics and dashboards, and prior use of SalesForce for territory management.
