Regulatory Affairs/Compliance Manager - North America (Specialty Chemical Manufacturing)

• ONSITE in Memphis, TN with regular domestic and travel to other North American facilities as needed.

We are seeking a RA/Regulatory Affairs Manager for our operation, covering the entirety of our North American Operations and will be tasked with ensuring regulatory compliance for our teams, facilities, and products made and sold throughout, with the goal of ensuring product quality, safety, product compliance and helping our teams to create, ensure and maintain a Safe, Environmentally Compliant Workplace.

WHAT IS THIS ROLE?

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead regulatory compliance initiatives across our North American regulatory needs, acting as the primary resource for product stewardship, regulatory strategy, compliance programs, safety data management, and customer regulatory support.

The ideal candidate will combine deep regulatory expertise with strong leadership skills, ensuring products remain compliant while supporting business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

This position offers the opportunity to influence regulatory strategy, support innovative product development, lead important compliance initiatives, and make a significant impact within a growing, highly regulated organization.

The role provides broad exposure across operations, product development, supply chain, quality, and commercial functions while leading a critical regulatory program throughout North America.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would like to identify those with Five to ten or more years of experience in a similar Regulatory Compliance leadership role, ideally within the Chemical/Specialty Chemical manufacturing world, with both a PROJECT MANAGEMENT background, an ability to LEAD a team of RA Support team members ( both directly at the HQ and indirectly at each site, via corporate direction, along with an applicable Engineering/STEM-focused degree ( ideally Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, but not REQUIRED) an in-depth background, and experience, leading compliance establishment and continuation/certification with US EPA jurisdiction, particularly those with specific experience with:

• Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)

• Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)

Your role is to both ensure that our facilities and teams are SAFE, but also to proactively evaluate, plan and work to maintain compliance to all legal and regulatory bodies, including EPA, PMRA, FDA, and OSHA, etc.

From a management perspective, your role will include the direction of the authoring, reviewing, and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and product regulatory documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA Hazard Communication, GHS, TSCA, WHMIS, and other regional requirements.

Experience Experience authoring, maintaining, and managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) using Sphera Intelligent Authoring, Chemwatch, Lisam ExESS, ULTRUS, or similar SDS authoring platforms is desired.             

The ideally qualified, experienced manager for this role will bring the following to the role as well.

• Experience within chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, industrial products, life sciences, consumer products, or related regulated industries.
• Knowledge of product stewardship, hazard communication, SDS management, and product registration processes.
• A proven track record of supporting new product commercialization and regulatory compliance initiatives in complex business environments.
