QC/Welding Inspector - Aerospace

Job Title: QC Inspector

Location: Anaheim, CA

Hourly Rate: $32 - $44

We are seeking an experienced quality inspector to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. What You Will Be Doing

• Create AS9102 Inspection reports and bubble drawing inspection documents.
• Utilize inspection plans, CMM Arm, engineering drawings, process specifications, and customer documents for in-process inspection of welded, fabricated, and machined assemblies.
• Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate FAI reports.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections, including process audits and area surveillance.
• Perform supplier source inspection when required.
• Experience with fasteners installation and inspection requirements.
• Operate Faro Arm and Laser Tracking inspection equipment using Verisurf programs.
• Present written descriptions of inspection results and deviations from engineering requirements.
• Interact with management, customer Quality Assurance representatives, and regulatory agencies during audits.
• Record accurate descriptions of nonconforming conditions identified during inspection using computer applications.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate the procurement of standard materials, services, and parts for inspections.
• Perform and coordinate calibration activity related to mechanical inspection equipment.
  
  

What You Need for this Position

Associates degree, trade school certificate, military training, or equivalent in quality inspections.

• Three or more years of progressive experience in mechanical inspections and calibration.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications, perform mathematical computations.
• Good communication skills to interface with all levels of employees.
• Ability to interpret complex information and respond to a variety of complex issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Good computer skills; experience in Systems Application Products (SAP) is desirable.
• Experience operating Faro Arm and Laser Tracking inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment, including extended hours as required.
• Adaptability to various working conditions.
• Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001, DOE quality assurance program requirements are desirable.
• Operate a Faro and Hexagon CMM.
