Purchasing Manager

Role Summary

We're seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement of critical components, materials, and services that power our custom thermal control products. In this role, you'll be responsible for building strong supplier relationships, optimizing cost efficiency, ensuring consistent material quality, and supporting a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Your decisions directly impact product performance, timelines, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production and business objectives
• Source and manage vendor relationships across electrical, mechanical, and raw material suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and supply continuity
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to meet product requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs to minimize shortages and overstock
• Ensure timely procurement of customized components for global customers
• Analyze market trends and supply risks to guide sourcing decisions
• Oversee purchasing team and drive process improvements across the supply chain
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain operations
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably high customization or electromechanical parts
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and supplier quality management processes
• Experience working with international suppliers and logistics is a plus
