The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in business development, complex project delivery, and regulatory navigation, with expertise in utility infrastructure, operations and maintenance planning, licensing, and energy delivery solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development and Client Leadership with agencies like SDGE.
- Lead and manage natural resource projects related to utilities, ensuring compliance with CEQA and other regulations.
- Develop strategies to integrate sustainable practices into utility operations and project planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to facilitate project approvals and environmental assessments.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support on natural resource management issues related to utilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in natural resource management and utilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Planning or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in natural resources management, particularly in the utilities sector. Preferred 5 years of experience supporting SDGE projects.
- Strong knowledge of CEQA regulations and environmental compliance processes.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Compensation: $180-220k salary DOE 20-40% annual bonus
