We are seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate plumbing estimates and proposals for various projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that estimates align with project specifications and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine plumbing scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Utilize software tools for estimating and project management to streamline the estimating process.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project needs and conditions.
- Provide recommendations for cost-effective plumbing solutions while maintaining quality standards.
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Estimator or similar role in the plumbing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools for project management.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
