We are a well-established paving contractor specializing in asphalt, concrete, and site development projects. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality work with precision, safety, and efficiency. We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our growing company and contribute to our continued success.
Position OverviewThe Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for paving projects, analyzing bid documents, and collaborating with project managers and field teams. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of estimating experience in the construction or paving industry and be proficient in HCSS HeavyBid software.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt, concrete, and site development projects
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements
- Utilize HCSS HeavyBid software to develop bids and proposals
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with field operations
- Track historical cost data to improve future estimates
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- 3-5 years of estimating experience in paving, asphalt, or civil construction
- Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid software (required)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent analytical and math skills with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
