We're seeking a driven Quality Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that products and processes consistently meet rigorous standards for safety, performance, and reliability. What You'll Do In This Key Role
- Act as the primary quality liaison for major accounts, working to coordinate and host on-site customer audits.
- Review and interpret customer requirements to guarantee compliance
- Prepare documentation packages such as PPAPs, FAIs, and inspection plans for approval
- Manage corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of customer concerns
- Partner with supervisors and engineers to drive process improvements
- Track and report key quality metrics including defect rates, complaints, and cost of poor quality
- Contribute to risk assessments, control plans, and process mapping initiatives
- Support nonconformance and material review activities
- Apply statistical methods to identify trends and implement corrective measures
- Develop inspection plans and measurement system analyses
- Conduct internal audits of processes and quality systems
- Lead structured problem-solving sessions and improvement events (e.g., kaizen workshops)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of quality experience
- Background in lean manufacturing; formal Six Sigma training preferred (Green/Black Belt a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and industry standards
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (Minitab or equivalent)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems; AS9100 experience highly valued
- Hands-on mechanical inspection skills, including use of precision measurement tools
- Effective communicator with strong organizational and presentation abilities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Must be able to work in an ITAR regulated environment
