- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules; allocate resources effectively.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and staff; foster collaboration and alignment with project goals.
- Quality & Compliance: Conduct inspections, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with codes and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to minimize delays or costs.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Procurement & Resource Management: Oversee procurement of materials, tools, and equipment; ensure timely delivery to sites.
- Problem-Solving: Address challenges such as site issues or material delays with adaptive solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, financials, and progress; prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Education:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics with 7 years of experience, OR
- MS in Engineering with 5 years of experience.
- Experience & Skills:
- Extensive project management experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Direct involvement with engineering firms, clients, and general contractors.
- Proven track record of successful projects across multi-disciplinary systems (e.g., fire alarm, communications, security, AV, power, instrumentation).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and drive consensus.
- Analytical thinking, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, cost tracking, and commissioning/testing of specialty systems.
- Knowledge of Accubid software preferred.
