Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between MEP subcontractors, internal teams, clients, and design professionals.
- Define project-specific scopes of work and develop responsibility matrices for MEP trades.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor bids, proposals, and change orders.
- Support the value engineering process by identifying cost-effective solutions and guiding design decisions.
- Lead subcontractor evaluations and make recommendations for contract awards.
- Identify long-lead items and manage early procurement strategies to maintain schedule integrity.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and assist in transitioning project details to construction and VDC teams.
- Maintain and update design constraint logs to ensure timely resolution and progress.
- Establish and monitor design checkpoints for quality, compliance, and scope alignment.
- Provide regular cost updates and validate any budget changes.
- Assist in developing construction phasing and sequencing plans.
- Resolve trade-related conflicts and ensure smooth collaboration among stakeholders.
- Support system testing, commissioning, and owner training for MEP installations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in construction and MEP coordination.
- 3 years of experience in construction with a strong understanding of MEP systems and processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
