The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient operation of all plant equipment and machinery. This role involves implementing maintenance strategies, leading preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations and repair activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify issues and necessary repairs.
- Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Familiarity with GMP and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of HMI systems and PLC programming is a plus.
