Maintenance Journeyman

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Journeyman to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong background in mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and troubleshooting to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting for various equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and electrical code regulations during maintenance activities.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment and facility structures.
• Skillfully use welding and carpentry techniques to address maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand system layouts and repair requirements.
• Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Journeyman or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in facility maintenance.
• Experience with welding and carpentry work is desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
