We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in managing cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing for trials, conducting legal research, and organizing case files while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of pleadings and legal documents.
- Manage all aspects of discovery including document requests, responses, and organization of exhibits.
- Review and summarize medical records relevant to cases.
- Prepare and maintain trial notebooks and other necessary materials for court proceedings.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
- Assist in billing and tracking time spent on various case activities.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed during the litigation process.
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or a Paralegal Certification from an accredited program
- At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in construction defect litigation, professional liability litigation, insurance defense, or general litigation.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes, including pleadings and discovery.
- Experience with medical records and their relevance to litigation cases.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
