The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in both state and federal courts, managing all aspects of litigation from initial case evaluation to jury trial. The attorney will handle complex legal issues, engage in mediation, and conduct thorough legal research and writing to support case development.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent public sector clients in state and federal court proceedings
- Prepare and file dispositive motions and pleadings
- Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes
- Engage in mediation and settlement negotiations
- Advocate for clients during hearings and trials
- Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, and contracts
- Conduct legal research on various issues related to business litigation
- Work collaboratively with clients and other attorneys to develop case strategies
- Manage case files and maintain organized records throughout the litigation process
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Barred in FL
- 3 years of experience in litigation, preferably defending public sector entities
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes, including discovery and trial procedures
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with bond validation and construction defect cases is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
