The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation matters, managing all aspects of case preparation, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. This role requires a strong focus on trial preparation and effective negotiation strategies to secure favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases in court and during arbitration/mediation proceedings.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough case management, including maintaining case files and tracking deadlines.
- Engage in negotiation processes to resolve disputes amicably when possible.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal writing to support case strategies.
- Manage evidence gathering and ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide client representation and maintain effective communication with clients regarding case progress and legal options.
- Attend court appearances and represent clients during hearings and trials.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana
- Portable Book of Business
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation and trial preparation.
- Strong understanding of contract law and civil procedure.
- Excellent case management skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in negotiation and discovery processes.
- Exceptional legal writing skills and ability to draft complex legal documents.
- Experience with mediation and arbitration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
