We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Civil team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and contract law, with a focus on providing excellent legal support and representation to our clients. This role is essential in assisting with case preparation, client consultations, and advocating for our clients in various legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis in preparation for trials and hearings.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings.
- Meet with clients to discuss their cases, providing guidance and legal advice.
- Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including assembling exhibits and preparing witnesses.
- Represent clients in court and during mediations or arbitrations, advocating for their interests.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve disputes effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations throughout the litigation process.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation and contract law.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation or related practice areas.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and civil procedure.
- Excellent legal writing and research skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Experience with insurance defense and business litigation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
