Litigation Associate (Mid-Level)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and criminal litigation, with experience in managing cases from inception through trial. This role requires excellent writing and analytical skills, as well as a commitment to client advocacy and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters, including civil and criminal cases.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and evidence gathering.
• Engage in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
• Review and analyze documents related to ongoing cases and prepare summaries for senior attorneys.
• Advocate for clients in court and through other legal channels, ensuring their interests are represented effectively.
• Collaborate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting litigation practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active MD state bar membership.
• 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in both civil and criminal law.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality legal documents.
• Experience with case management and trial preparation processes.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills.
