Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential, multifamily, and commercial properties. The Journeyman Plumber will execute work to code, read blueprints and specifications, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with project teams to complete jobs safely, on time, and to customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sanitary, storm, and gas piping, fixtures, and related plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to lay out plumbing systems and determine materials and time required.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems using appropriate tools and testing equipment; implement effective repairs and replacements.
• Install, solder, thread, and assemble pipe and fittings; cut, bend, and join pipe to required angles and lengths.
• Conduct pressure tests, leak detection, and system startups; ensure systems operate to specification.
• Ensure all work complies with local and national plumbing codes and company quality standards.
• Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades to sequence work and resolve site issues.
• Complete accurate job documentation, including work orders, material lists, time records, and asbuilt notes.
• Provide guidance and onthejob training to apprentices and helpers, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed; maintain professional communication with customers and site supervisors.
• Follow company safety programs, use personal protective equipment, and maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber certification or license (required).
• Minimum 3 years of handson plumbing experience at the journeyman level; experience in service, repair, and new construction preferred.
• Proven ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of plumbing materials, tools, fittings, and installation methods.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and pressure testing.
• Demonstrated commitment to performing work in compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license; willingness to travel between job sites.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor as required.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism with customers and teammates, and strong time management.
• Nice to have: experience with multifamily and commercial plumbing projects, working knowledge of local plumbing codes, and a Texas plumbing license.
