Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to oversee the design and analysis of various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural and geotechnical engineering, and will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and compliance of projects with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct structural analysis and design for various infrastructure projects including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop detailed shop drawings and construction details.
- Perform optimization and design calculations to enhance project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all engineering practices.
- Review and approve engineering designs and documents produced by other engineers on the team.
- Conduct site assessments and geotechnical investigations as needed.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, STAAD, and PLAXIS for structural modeling and finite element analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- 3 years of experience in geotechnical and structural engineering in concrete/construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete systems, prestressed beams, retaining walls, bridge systems, culverts and modular building design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis design and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to civil and structural engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Competitive Compensation: $90-130K based on experience - open to reviewing all targeted salary requests
