We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge B2B lending platform. This role will involve leading a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical strategy: Select the technology stack and architecture to deliver the product vision, balancing short-term speed with long-term scalability.
- Build and lead the engineering team: Hire, mentor, and manage developers; establish development processes; and promote a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Deliver the MVP and iterate: Oversee design and implementation of the minimum viable product and subsequent releases, ensuring high quality and on-time delivery.
- Ensure code quality and security: Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement testing and DevOps practices to maintain a secure, maintainable codebase.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, sales and support teams to align technical development with customer needs; communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as a long-term partner: Participate in strategic planning and help shape the product roadmap and growth strategy.
- The MVP is an AI Native Product
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7 years of professional experience in software engineering with modern languages/frameworks and strong architecture skills
- Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams or leading complex projects as a lead engineer, principal architect, or hands-on director in high-growth environments
- Expertise in designing and launching SaaS products or MVPs in a high-growth startup
- Comfortable being on-site in the Bay Area with flexibility for hybrid work
- Full-time role, hybrid in the Bay Area
