Lead Senior Cost Manager

Position Overview

The Lead Senior Cost Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost management for projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgets. This role involves strategic planning in cost estimation, cost control, and contract management to support project delivery and organizational financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost management strategies for projects.
• Conduct thorough cost estimations and prepare detailed budgets.
• Monitor project costs and perform cost control analyses to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Manage contracts and negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts to management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to align project financials with organizational goals.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Proven expertise in cost control, cost estimation, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial principles and cost management techniques.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with budgeting, financial analysis, and risk management practices is preferred.
• Professional certification in cost management or project management (e.g., CCM, PMP) is a plus.
