Lead Fire Alarm Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled checks and functional tests on fire alarm systems to confirm proper operation.
• Diagnose issues quickly and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Handle preventive care tasks such as component cleaning, calibration, and battery changes.
• Respond to urgent service requests and restore systems to full functionality.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and parts used.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with scheduling and support staff to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company protocols at all times.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in electronics or fire systems is a plus.
• NICET certification or willingness to obtain is highly valued.
• State fire alarm license preferred (or ability to secure one).
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Previous experience servicing or installing fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with fire safety codes and standards, including NFPA guidelines.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
