Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled checks and functional tests on fire alarm systems to confirm proper operation.
- Diagnose issues quickly and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
- Handle preventive care tasks such as component cleaning, calibration, and battery changes.
- Respond to urgent service requests and restore systems to full functionality.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service reports and parts used.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with scheduling and support staff to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company protocols at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in electronics or fire systems is a plus.
- NICET certification or willingness to obtain is highly valued.
- State fire alarm license preferred (or ability to secure one).
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Previous experience servicing or installing fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with fire safety codes and standards, including NFPA guidelines.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
