Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed estimates for mechanical projects, including piping and plumbing systems.
- Perform takeoffs from drawings and specifications to determine material and labor costs.
- Utilize estimating software such as AutoBid and Trimble to streamline the estimation process.
- Collaborate with senior estimators to review and validate estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preconstruction phase by providing insights and recommendations based on cost analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical estimating or related construction experience.
- Proficiency in estimating software, particularly AutoBid and Trimble.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and plumbing.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
