Junior Estimator

Position Summary

We are hiring Junior Estimators to support our Mechanical Insulation and Firestopping divisions. These are entry-level roles ideal for candidates from any trade or subcontracting background who are eager to learn estimating and take-off processes. You'll work closely with senior estimators and project managers to prepare competitive bids and support project planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform digital take-offs using on-screen takeoff software for insulation and firestop scopes.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and quantities.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and bid documentation.
• Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs and meetings as needed.
• Support proposal development and submission processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in any construction trade or subcontracting role (field or office).
• Interest in estimating and construction project planning.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (training provided).
• Familiarity with on-screen takeoff software or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
