We are looking for a Commercial Underwriter to join our dynamic Insurance team. The ideal candidate will have general liability underwriting and renewal/new business underwriting. Critical thinking and analysis skills as well as strong interpersonal skills are essential.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Commercial Underwriter, you will work in office based in Pearl River, NY, after a 6-month period, you are eligible to work 1 day from home. You are an experienced underwriter or underwriter assistant with 3 years' experience ready to grow your career. You are experienced with underwriting policies in general liability, commercial, renewal, and new business. You're responsible for writing new policies and writing renewal policies while assessing risk for each and every individual policy. New business is desired, but you will be responsible for writing predominantly renewal business with the average policy underwriting of $50,000 or more.
