Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload that includes personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking cases. This position requires a proactive approach to legal defense, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and expert witnesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense litigation cases, including personal injury, construction, and commercial trucking matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants to build compelling cases.
• Review and manage documents related to discovery and document production.
• Perform site inspections and gather evidence to support cases.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Use cloud-based technology for document management and maintain a paperless office environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar License.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent legal research skills.
• Proficient in legal writing and documentation.
• Experience with trial preparation and court appearances.
• Ability to negotiate settlements effectively and work under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
