Insurance Coverage Attorney

A highly respected insurance focused law firm with a national and international footprint is seeking an insurance coverage attorney with at least 2 years of experience(especially in First Party or Third Party) to join its Florida office.

Founded over 90 years ago, this firm is widely recognized as one of the premier insurance coverage and litigation practices in the country. The firm represents insurers and reinsurers in their most complex, high stakes, and high exposure matters, including catastrophic losses, declaratory judgment actions, regulatory proceedings, and sophisticated coverage disputes. Attorneys here routinely advise on nuanced policy interpretation issues and litigate matters that shape the insurance industry.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for an attorney who wants to focus on high level insurance coverage analysis and litigation while working closely with experienced partners. The role offers exposure to complex first party and third party coverage issues, motion practice, and strategic counseling for insurer clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and advise on insurance coverage issues under a variety of policy forms
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and position letters
• Handle declaratory judgment actions and related coverage litigation
• Assist with discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex and catastrophic loss matters

Qualifications

• 2 plus years of insurance coverage or related litigation experience
• First Party or Third Party Insurance Exp a plus 
• Strong knowledge of policy interpretation and coverage analysis
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• Experience with declaratory judgment actions is a plus
• Juris Doctor and active Florida bar membership or ability to waive in
