The Opportunity
This position is ideal for an attorney who wants to focus on high level insurance coverage analysis and litigation while working closely with experienced partners. The role offers exposure to complex first party and third party coverage issues, motion practice, and strategic counseling for insurer clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and advise on insurance coverage issues under a variety of policy forms
- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and position letters
- Handle declaratory judgment actions and related coverage litigation
- Assist with discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex and catastrophic loss matters
Qualifications
- 2 plus years of insurance coverage or related litigation experience
- First Party or Third Party Insurance Exp a plus
- Strong knowledge of policy interpretation and coverage analysis
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
- Experience with declaratory judgment actions is a plus
- Juris Doctor and active Florida bar membership or ability to waive in
