Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and controls, with a particular focus on DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC control systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure HVAC control systems including DDC, Lonworks, and BACnet protocols.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC controls and systems to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on HVAC control equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop control strategies and improve system performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members as needed.
- Document all work performed, including system modifications and maintenance activities.
- Proven experience as a Controls Technician or similar role in HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of DDC systems, Lonworks, BACnet, and related control technologies.
- Familiarity with Johnson Controls and Distech Controls products is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Technical degree in HVAC technology, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC controls are an advantage.
