About The Role
As an HR Manager, it is crucial to support the human resources operations of the manufacturing facility. Reporting to the HR Director and Manager, the generalist will handle a variety of responsibilities focused on driving positive employee relations, ensuring compliance, and supporting a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, facilitating resolutions and promoting a positive work culture.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead hourly recruitment efforts, coordinate interviews, and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
- HR Administration: Manage HR data and analytics, maintain employee records, process payroll, and administer employee benefits programs.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations (including union contracts if applicable), and company policies. Assist in implementing safety programs and best practices.
- Performance Management: Support performance review processes, facilitate goal setting, and assist managers with performance-related action plans.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training initiatives, including compliance training (e.g., food safety).
- Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with labor relations, audits, and company events.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
