Help Desk Technician - Level 1 through Level 3 - Trading Floor and Back Office support

Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience and skills plus strong discretionary bonus and fully paid medical premiums day 1

This is a full-time, onsite position based in midtown New York City

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Help Desk Technician to provide comprehensive IT support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting both trade floor and back office teams, and will bring a broad technical skill set and a collaborative mindset to solve a wide range of user issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Level 1 to Level 3 support to users in the NYC office and remotely to users in Houston and other U.S. locations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams across multiple sites to ensure seamless support and issue resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between local users and global IT teams to advocate for user needs and drive solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Trading or Financial Services industry.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to write clear documentation and communicate effectively with users at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and team player with a proactive attitude.

Technical Skills

  • Active Directory management and software deployment via MECM.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, MS Teams, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience supporting remote access tools: Tailscale VPN, Citrix, 2FA, and resolving ISP-related issues.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop hardware: imaging laptops, docking stations, monitors, and printers.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
  • Installation and support of analytical tools such as Anaconda and Python; Python coding experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Prime Management, Cloud9, Cisco Webex Suite, and videoconferencing tools.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management.
  • Technical understanding of market data platforms like Refinitiv and Bloomberg.
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk is a plus.
